Snakes on a plane

One of my passions is travel, especially flying on planes. Fortunately, I wasn't on the plane in a recent story in Indonesia, where a man got on a plane with hand luggage containing live parrots and snakes. I wonder what gave him away? Perhaps it was when he was at customs, the conversation went like this;

Customs official: Anything to declare?
Man: No
Bag: SQUAAAAWWWWK! ANYTHING TO DECLARE! POLLY WANTS A CRACKER!!!
Customs official: What the f...
Man: Gosh, its lovely weather we are having isn't it?
